Intelligent Energy’s operations in Southern California are located in Redondo Avenue in Long Beach. The facilities are conveniently located 30 minutes from Los Angeles International Airport and 10 minutes from the largest commercial port on the west coast of America.
The operation includes fully functional R&D, engineering, manufacturing and test facilities used in the development of multi-fueled, 1kW to25kW reformer-based hydrogen generation systems and novel clean fuels technologies.
The Long Beach facility is a clean building using 30kWe of solar panel past electricity generation to meet the facility base load requirement. Electricity generated using Intelligent Energy hydrogen fueled fuel cells is exported to the local electrical grid.
Both networks produce grid quality electricity which is exported to the grid. As of January 2008 over 120000 kWh of electricity has been exported to the grid from the solar panels and IE fuel cells.
