The Crosscage concept bike is a fuel cell motorcycle designed to achieve optimum performance using Intelligent Energy’s air-cooled fuel cell system.
Suzuki believes that the Crosscage could be one of the solutions for balancing environmental protection and exciting biking, and that Intelligent Energy is the best partner it can have for the development of fuel cell motorcycles.
Both Intelligent Energy and Suzuki will continue this successful collaboration and are now investigating further fuel cell motorcycle developments based on Intelligent Energy’s series of advanced fuel cell systems.
These fuel cell systems will demonstrate class-leading fuel cell performance under typical automotive environmental conditions.
“Together Suzuki and Intelligent Energy have made tremendous progress in a short period of time”, commented Intelligent Energy’s Chief Executive Dr Henri Winand. “Suzuki is an excellent partner to work with, as they are forward-looking in their approach to new product development. We have established a very close working relationship with Suzuki and look forward to the next exciting steps in this partnership.”
Intelligent Energy’s unique and proprietary PEM fuel cell designs are based on the use of thin metallic bipolar plates, which make the fuel cell extremely compact and well-suited to mass manufacture.
In addition, Intelligent Energy’s fuel cell systems are designed to be simple, robust and cost-effective solutions, which are especially attractive for automotive applications.
