Intelligent Energy has recently received important recognition from the European Business Awards 2009 and by the Rushlight Awards 2008. The company has been awarded a prestigious "Ruben d'Honneur" by the European Business Awards for Business Innovation and has been shortlisted for the overall award, when the competition winners are announced on the 8^th April in Rome.

On the 22^nd of January, IE also received the Rushlight Award for Hydrogen and Fuel Cells for its work on the world's first manned fuel cell aircraft which took to the skies in early 2008.
