About the Role

Working as part of the Product Development team, you will apply your PCB layout design skills to the development of commercial products for use in automotive, aviation, UAVs, materials handling and power generation.

You will develop PCB layouts in line with our DFM guidelines, creating documentation supporting designs for system development and play a key role in the creation and maintenance of all part libraries and project PCB data.

Using your expertise, you will support and develop colleagues in best practice toolset usage.

This position is available at either Engineer II or Senior grade, reflecting the relevant skills and experience of the successful applicant.

About You

You hold a BEng, BSc (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline, or possess a relevant non-degree level qualification alongside suitable industrial experience.  Typically, you will have 5 years of relevant industrial experience.

You will be able to demonstrate experience of delivering work packages applying the V model and/or other design methodologies, alongside experience of the application of DfX principles.

You will have a proven depth of experience and competence in designing multi-layer power, analogue and digital PCBs, with consideration of thermal management and EMC.  You will be a competent user of Altium Designer.

It is key to us that you have commercial awareness in the context of product development.  You will have the ability to work with a flexible and solutions focused approach, in an agile and fast paced environment.  You must also be able to work collaboratively with a cross-functional team alongside both technical and non-technical colleagues.  As such, excellent communication skills are vital.
