About the Role

In this role you will be responsible for driving continuous improvement to enable a positive Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental (QHSE) culture.

You will work closely with team managers to ensure all (QHSE) risks are understood, communicated and appropriately mitigated as far as reasonably possible.  This will include leading activities relating to risk assessments, first aid, fire marshals, incident investigations, permits to work and equipment inspections.

You will continuously monitor our compliance to key legislation, such as PUWER, COSHH, DSEAR and Hazardous Voltage (HV).

You will coordinate our Health & Safety Committee and provide advice and training on QHSE related topics.

You will lead all activities to maintain our accreditations to ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO45000, including coordination of an internal audit schedule and maintaining our QMS.

About You

You will hold a vocational qualification (HNC, C&G) in a relevant discipline. You will ideally already hold a NEBOSH Certificate or ISOH Managing Safely, along with an ISO9000 & ISO45000 audit qualification.

You will have a good working knowledge of relevant health & safety legislation, such as PUWER, COSHH, DSEAR and Hazardous Voltage.  Ideally you will have experience of working within the automotive or aerospace supply chain.

It is key to us that you have a commercial mindset and the ability to work with a flexible and solutions focused approach, in an agile and fast paced environment.  You must also be able to work collaboratively with a cross-functional team alongside both technical and non-technical colleagues.  As such, excellent communication skills are vital.
