Sourcing Specialist

About the Role

As a key member of the of the Procurement and Supply Chain team you will provide analysis of supplier performance against business KPI’s and work with stakeholders to develop reports to support the development of Supply Chain strategies.

You will support supplier selection activity including RFQ/P preparation, management, analysis, negotiation and reporting and support contract implementation and review of contract performance.

You will take ownership of key strategic and operational work packages, with particular emphasis on NPI project delivery, and provide input into the overall category strategy, conducting supply market analysis to identify and assess potential suppliers.

You will support process and tool improvements to ensure supply chain is driven to optimum QCDR performance.

About You

You will be educated to degree level (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline and will be a member of CIPS, with commitment to becoming MCIPS.

You will have previous buying experience across a variety of direct and indirect categories, with exposure to category management and the associated principles of the development of category strategies.  You will be able to demonstrate delivery of cost reduction across the categories you have managed.

A strategic thinker, you will have the ability to establish and communicate the vision and strategic direction for the category.

It is key to us that you have a commercial and analytical mindset and the ability to work with a flexible and solutions focused approach, in an agile and fast paced environment.  You must also be able to work collaboratively with a cross-functional team alongside both technical and non-technical colleagues.  As such, excellent communication and relationship management skills are vital.
