About the role

This is a versatile role supporting the Finance team across the Group.  Your day-to-day responsibilities will include invoice query resolution, preparing supplier payment runs inclusive of bank payments and Bank Reconciliations.

You will perform supplier statement reconciliations, reviewing and investigating supplier ledgers.

During month-end you will review and identify variances in detail and carry out general ledger account reconciliations, including prepayments and accruals, supplier ledger aged report and chasing up on VAT invoices for proforma payment made.

You will organise company credit card and purchase card deadlines, checking submissions including checking receipts, approvals and account coding onto our accounting system (IFS).

You will work with commercial and procurement to ensure sales invoices are processed in a timely manner and all the information stated on the invoice are correct. Matching customer receipts to sales invoices, preparation and review of monthly aged customer ledger report.

About you

You will be educated to GCSE level (or equivalent) and will hold GCSEs in English and Maths at grade 4/C or above.  Full or part AAT qualification (or equivalent) is advantageous.

You will have purchase and general ledger experience alongside experience of conducting bank reconciliations.  Your IT skills will be strong and you will have experience of working with Microsoft Office packages, including Microsoft Excel.  Experience of using the IFS ERP system is advantageous.

It is key to us that you have the ability to work on your own initiative with a flexible and solutions focused approach, in an agile and fast paced environment.  You must also be able to work collaboratively and be an effective verbal and written communicator, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritise.

This salary on offer for this position will be up to £24,500 per annum based on skills and experience.
