About the role

A fantastic opportunity to join a newly formed team supporting our customers with co-ordinated design and integration support, enabling fast, robust and safe integration of high-power fuel cell systems into a range of applications. 

You will liaise between our customers and product development team to ensure that the system meets customer requirements and that the system is functionally correct, safe and reliable, protecting and enhancing Intelligent Energy’s reputation.

You will interface with the customer to ensure support of overall in-vehicle installation and functional testing including associated test-track and on-road test programmes, operating efficient and accurate document and data management for the integration process.

You will act as the voice of the customer for technical status, requirements, problems, and solutions to inform design progression, with mindfulness of the market. You will work flexibly with the customer and communicate effectively to a variety of audiences.

About you

You will hold a BEng, BSc (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline.  Chartered status with a relevant professional body is advantageous, as is evidence of further professional learning in the fields of leadership and/or engineering.

You will be hands on and able to practically work with systems in the field. 

You will have relevant industrial experience post completion of your degree, which will include the development of integrated systems, preferably in an automotive environment and the integration, testing and development of electro-mechanical systems using system interface level software.

Practical experience of mechanical and thermal integration, including hands on installation and manipulation of systems is essential, as is experience of hands-on installation, diagnostics, maintenance, and repair of systems in the field

You will have the tenacity and resilience to get things done in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment, working collaboratively in a cross-functional team.

Understanding of hybrid system architecture and integration in motive applications and competence in Vector CAN Tool Suite and Automotive communication standards over CAN are desirable, as is previous experience in software and/or systems engineering.

What we offer

This position will be at either Engineer II, Senior or Principal level, dependant on experience.  At Engineer II grade the salary is up to £35,000 per annum, at Senior grade the salary is up to £46,000 per annum and at Prinicpal grade the salary is up to £50,000 per annum.

This role is based onsite in our Loughborough facility.  The role will require travel, both national and international, up to 50% of the time.
