About the role

A key member of the IT team, you will be responsible for the provision of high quality 1st and 2nd line IT support across a wide range of hardware and software systems.

You will be responsible for the Service Desk, administering Office 365 and our other communication systems, along with the installation, administration and management of Windows Servers.  User Acceptance Testing and deployment of end user devices (Windows O/S and iOS) will be an important part of the role, as will the administration and configuration of Backup Systems and IT security.  Support of vSphere, Azure and other LOB systems will also be required and you will take ownership of the user, device management and provisioning lifecycle using AD, Smart Deploy & Desktop Central.

You will work both autonomously and alongside other members of the IT team, ensuring effective management of Physical & Virtual server environments, SAN, ERP and other all other IT infrastructure.

About you

It will be advantageous but not essential for you to have certification in one of more of MCP, MCSA, MCSE and VCP, as well as an entry level networking certification (CCNA / Network+) and ITIL.

Indepth knowledge of supporting primarily Windows desktop/laptop computers and the Microsoft Office suites, Windows Server is essential, as well as experience of working with Manage Engine Tools & Smart Deploy.

If you have experience of working with Backup Technologies or Virtualized Environments, that would be a plus.

It is key to us that you have the ability to work with a flexible and solutions focused approach, in an agile and fast paced environment.  You must also be able to work collaboratively and with the customer in mind at all times.  As such, excellent communication skills are vital.

To ensure effective and timely troubleshooting, you will also need to have a proven ability to problem solve and use your initiative.

The salary for this position is up to £25,000 per annum based on skills and experience (pro-rated for the fixed term).
