About the role
Working as part of the Research & Product Development team, you will be responsible for applying CFD practices in the analysis and design of mechanical components and systems for the development of fuel cell stacks and systems for use in applications ranging from small portable power devices to motive and industrial power systems.
You will set-up, analyse and report back on multiple time critical CFD projects, using a high degree of innovation and technical judgement to interpret performance requirements and devise appropriate solutions for novel and complex problems.
You will hold a BEng, BSc degree (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline, or possess relevant non-degree level qualifications alongside suitable industrial experience.
You will be proficient in CFD simulation using ANSYS Fluent and have a good understanding of multiphase flow modelling. You will have knowledge of material properties and be able to apply appropriate calculation methods for mechanical design. You will be confident in presenting design solutions to a varied audience, using appropriate media.
It is key to us that you have a commercial mindset and the ability to work with a flexible and solutions focused approach, in an agile and fast paced environment. You must also be able to work collaboratively with a cross-functional team alongside both technical and non-technical colleagues. As such, excellent communication skills are vital.

The salary for this position will be up to £50,000 per annum based on skills and experience.
