About the role

As part of our Programme Management team you will play a key role in delivering our high-power fuel cell programme for motive applications, working closely with the Product Development team.  You will be responsible for:

  • Providing leadership to the programme team with a strong focus on delivering safe products and minimising time to market
  • Managing, tracking and reporting programme status throughout the programme life to key stakeholders, through the use of metrics, KPI and the product development process
  • Project managing high-power fuel cell motive projects and acting as the principle contact for customers, collaborative partners and funding bodies
  • Defining work packages and resource requirements in conjunction with Engineering Managers to ensure on time delivery within budget
  • Monitoring, tracking and highlighting risks, mitigating with appropriate action where necessary.
  • Developing countermeasures for resolving issues as they arise
  • Coordinating the provision of pre-release product to strategic customers and ensuring that the final product design is fully transferred to Operations
  • Ensuring all relevant IP is captured and managed through the business

About you

About You

You will be educated to degree level or equivalent in an appropriate engineering discipline or have equivalent substantive experience. Project management certification (e.g. PMP or PRINCE2) is desirable but not essential.

You will have proven depth of experience in leading and coordinating multiple motive technical projects under one programme, gained with either an OEM or Tier 1. You will also have previous experience of managing collaborative projects.

Experience in the clean technology sector is desirable but not essential.

You will be able to demonstrate your ability to take ownership of the complete project statement of work to ensure compliance with project scope.

Most importantly, you will have a positive, hardworking attitude with a drive to succeed.  You will have strong and effective decision-making skills and be able to resolve problems within a complex technical project environment.  Excellent communication and time management skills are vital.

What we offer

The salary for this position will be between £46,000 and £65,000 per annum based on skills and experience.  The role will be graded according to skills and experience.

This role is based onsite in our Loughborough facility.
