Senior or Principal Electrical Engineer

About the Role

A great opportunity to join a team at the forefront of our high-power fuel cell development and to play your part in powering the hydrogen future.

You will be responsible for the design, development and documentation of electrical wiring harnesses and other electrical work packages, using SolidWorks Electrical to create electrical schematics, 3D models and manufacturing documents for wiring harnesses and cable assemblies.

Based within a cross-functional team, you will be working to meet project deliverables in a fast-paced environment, producing designs for new system architectures ranging from early development through to production level manufacture that will meet the relevant required standards at each stage of the project.

About You

You hold a BEng, BSc (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline alongside relevant industrial experience post completion of your degree. Typically, you will have a minimum of 5 years of relevant industrial experience post completion of your degree.

You’ve got experience of electrical wiring harness design and be able to demonstrate experience of schematic capture and harness design complying to IPC/WHMA-A-620D using SolidWorks Electrical or equivalent package. You also have knowledge of the control of EMC/EMI, appreciation for application specific standards and a creative approach to cable routing and management.

You enjoy working within multi-disciplinary groups and are an effective communicator with excellent attention to detail, highly motivated and able to contribute to work packages to achieve on time delivery.
