Intelligent Energy and Pneumatic and Hydraulic Company to develop fuel cell-based generators for the US market.
Loughborough, UK – 26 June 2025 – Intelligent Energy (IE), a leading developer of innovative fuel cell technologies, has announced the signing of a distributor agreement with Pneumatic and Hydraulic Company (PHC), an automation and pressure testing equipment supplier that designs, integrates, and builds custom engineered systems across the energy and industrial sectors in the United States.
This co-operation will leverage PHC’s dedicated hydrogen division, Total Hydrogen Solutions, to develop hydrogen-based power systems for back-up and off-grid power applications, providing industrial and commercial customers with solutions to address issues of grid reliability, and an alternative to traditional diesel generators.
PHC has also become a distributor of IE’s range of POWER and DRIVE fuel cell systems in North America.
This strategic partnership will support Intelligent Energy’s US expansion, providing access to new customers and markets through PHC’s network of clients, and is complimented by PHC’s range of services which support fuel cell customers – from design and integration to maintenance and technical support.
