Fuel cell power solutions for back-up and off-grid use
IE-GRID™ is Intelligent Energy’s scalable power solution designed for power applications. The product line ranges from 4kW to 3MW and offers fully integrated systems – hydrogen in and power out.
The GRID products contain Intelligent Energy’s modular fuel cells – either HD100 for higher power use cases or from the POWER range for lower power applications. These zero-emission solutions can be supplied as complete packages or standalone fuel cell systems.

Modular design for scalable power
A key feature of Intelligent Energy’s PEM fuel cell technology is its modularity.
For lower power IE-GRID power solutions, our 4kW air-cooled IE-POWER systems can be supplied in various configurations at a range of scalable power outputs, 4kW to 12kW.
For IE-GRID systems above 100kW, we leverage the proven HD100 platform. Our HD100 units can be configured in parallel or series to deliver tailored solutions up to 3MW in a single container, with multiple containers installed to deliver multi-MW power.
This flexible architecture ensures that IE-GRID can adapt to a wide range of applications. Lower power units are used typically for domestic, commercial and telecommunication applications. The larger power units come into their own for data centres, or wherever larger diesel gensets are currently used.
Mid-sized IE-GRID power solutions are currently under development and will be available in due course.
