University of Nottingham – IE-GRID

Zero-emission containerised microgrid solution

Intelligent Energy has installed its first in-house IE-GRID™ product, in collaboration with the University of Nottingham (UoN).

The IE-GRID solution integrates IE’s advanced IE-DRIVE™ HD fuel cell technology into a compact, containerised power system. Built for organisations demanding clean, reliable energy, IE-GRID delivers fast response times, exceptional power density, grid independence, and zero emissions. This makes it an ideal choice for applications such as data centres, grid balancing, and remote or off-grid operations.

This deployment is part of the Feed-MT project, funded by Research England, supporting the PEMC Building at the University of Nottingham. The IE-GRID unit has been installed at the Jubilee Campus, where it will serve as a testbed and demonstration platform within a microgrid environment.

Applications for IE-GRID
