IE-DRIVE™ is Intelligent Energy’s (IE) high-power hydrogen fuel cell system developed for both automotive and stationary power applications.
Utilising our patented evaporatively cooled (EC) technology, our fuel cells for hydrogen powered vehicles deliver compact, modular systems with fewer components, improved reliability, and reduced system costs. This innovative cooling approach eliminates the need for bulky radiators and complex thermal management systems, making it ideal for space-constrained and weight-sensitive applications.
Intelligent Energy has developed two distinct products within the IE-DRIVE™ product line, both built on our proven PEM fuel cell stack technology:
- IE-DRIVE HD100: a robust, heavy-duty one-box solution tailored for high-demand applications such as buses, trucks, and stationary power systems. Its integrated design simplifies installation and maintenance while delivering consistent, high-output performance.
- IE-DRIVE 100: a modular system designed for passenger cars and light commercial vehicles. Its flexible architecture allows for seamless integration into a wide range of vehicle platforms, supporting diverse powertrain configurations and packaging requirements.
Beyond automotive use, the HD100 fuel cell system is also well-suited for industries requiring reliable, clean power in challenging environments. These include:
